BABY PARTNER WORKOUT SERIES!
Today I bring you video #1. Super fun. I have the workout below that you can print out or save to your phone. I’ve described each of the exercises below, as well as gave you some options to amp up the intensity!
Exercises in Video:
Make sure the weight is in your heels and you keep your chest high. Hold or cradle your baby so he/she is supported.
2. Overhead Press
Start at chest level and straighten your arms bringing baby overhead.
3. Chest Press
Lying on your back, hold baby at chest and press up to ceiling.
Place baby on shins, press low back into ground, extend legs straight out and tuck your knees back into your chest.
To amp this workout up, you can complete it as an “AMRAP” workout. This means, pick a timeframe (ex: 10 mins, 15 mins) and repeat the circuit as many times as you can get through in that timeframe you picked.
You can also add reps to each exercise. So instead of doing 3 sets of 10 reps of each exercise, you can do 12, 15, or 20 reps. Doing more circuits/rounds will also up the intensity of the workout.
I also added some other exercises without baby in between those exercises I have in the video. For example, I added 1-leg deadlifts between the overhead press and chest press. At the end added in a cardio-type exercise like jumping lunges, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, plank jacks, running after your mobile baby lol etc to get a nice complete total-body workout in for me.
